Heart failure is a devastating condition that often makes the most basic daily tasks difficult or impossible and leaving sufferers with shortness of breath, leg swelling, and other symptoms. The Advanced Heart Failure Program at UR Medicine Heart & Vascular gives hope to people with heart failure. We offer advanced treatments, many of which are not available anywhere else in the Rochester region.

URMC is the first in the region to receive Advanced Certification from the Joint Commission for Heart Failure and for Ventricular Assist Devices.
